Climbing Escalade Canada is committed to developing Para-Climbing Programs in 2022 and beyond. We are excited to launch two initiatives that will support this focus:
2022-2023 Para-Climbing Athlete and Support License
CEC has created a new competitive license for Para-Athletes and their Supporters (callers, aids, supporter, fans, etc). This inaugural license is valid from the day of purchase, up until August 31, 2023, and will cover the 2022-2023 competition season, including the first ever Canadian Para-Climbing National Championships! By purchasing this $20 license, you will be added to a Para-Climbing mailing list to keep you up to date with CEC’s progress and developments.
Don’t miss your chance to be at the forefront of this exciting development! Purchase your license on the CEC Membership site at: https://member.climbingcanada.ca/
2022 IFSC World Cups Application
Are you interested in representing Canada at one of the 2022 IFSC Para-Climbing events? CEC is calling for athletes’ applications. Fill out this Google Form by March 20, 2022 at the latest. Please provide as much information as possible within the form.
Following the application deadline, the Para-Climbing Committee will be selecting athletes based on these guiding principles:
- Opportunity to participate in Para-Climbing competitions offered to as many athletes as possible
- Focus on performance and support of Canadian athletes on the world stage
CEC will cover IFSC licensing and registration fees for the selected athletes. Other expenses, such as travel and accommodation, are the responsibility of each athlete.
For questions or comments regarding these initiatives, please contact Christiane Marceau, Executive Director of CEC, at ed@climbingcanada.ca
